Your day exploring the spectacular British coastline starts with a full safety briefing followed by a quick change into your coasteering kit. Once you're fully equipped with your wetsuit, helmet and buoyancy aid you'll be ready to take to the water.
Your coasteering adventure will begin in shallow water before you start to make your way along the spectacular coastline. Your experienced guide will be on hand to help you as you swim along the water line, traversing rocks and exploring sea caves. If you're lucky you may even spot seals and dolphins as you make your way round the nooks and crannies of the British coastline.

Participant guidelines

Venues offer coasteering from age eight upwards. This activity involves swimming, scrambling, climbing and jumping so you need to be reasonably fit. Please note hat you don't need to be a strong swimmer as bouyancy aids are provided.

General availability

Available all year round although less frequently during winter months. On quieter days you may need to meet minimum number requirements.

Weather

Adverse weather conditions may result in your experience being postponed however you will be advised beforehand.

What to wear

You will need to bring swimwear, old trainers, baggy shorts and a towel. Make sure you have warm clothes to change into after your experience.

Duration

Coasteering experiences usually last around three hours, however check your preferred location as this can vary.

Number of people

Small groups will take part with other people. You may go out with 10-15 other people at a time.

Spectators

Due to the nature of this exciting activity, it is not a spectator sport.
