Your breathtaking balloon journey starts with a short safety briefing from your pilot whilst the gigantic balloon inflates, ready for take off. Once the balloon is fully inflated it's time to climb into the basket and start your airborne adventure!
You will ascend to heights of between 500-1500 feet where you'll get a unique bird's eye view of some of the most stunning parts of the country. Depending on the wind conditions a one hour flight can cover up to 10 miles, before you slowly start to make your way back to solid ground. Participant guidelines

Passengers must be in good health and fit enough to climb in and out of the basket. Children need to be 7 or above and 4'6 in height. Maximum weight is 17.5 stone, anyone above this restriction wishing to take part may be required to pay a supplement.

General availability

Flying season is March to October. It recommended you book at least 6 weeks in advance for your preferred take off location. Please note that meeting times flights are around either 5am or 4pm subject to availability.

Weather

Ballooning is heavily reliant on calm dry conditions, if rain is forecast or ground winds are too strong then your flight will be postponed. You will be asked to check the day before your flight to see if the conditions are suitable and the flight is going ahead.

What to wear

We recommend you wear clothes suitable for a walk in the country depending on the weather on the day of your flight. A cap or hat is also uselful to shelter a little from the heat of the burners. Passengers are often asked to help with the inflate and deflate of the balloon so you may get a little dirty. No flip flips or high heels.
