Your day of wet and wild white water action starts with a full safety briefing from an experienced instructor before a quick change into your wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet.
Once you're fully kitted up the instructor will balance the boat by positioning participants of similar strengths opposite each other. With your team in position it's time to make your way downstream negotiating fast flowing white water and raging rapids along the way!

Participant guidelines

Minimum age from 8yrs. Some locations do hold a higher age restriction so please confirm this on booking. All rafters must be able to swim. Life jackets will be provided. Participants under the age of 18 will need parental consent to take part.

General availability

Rafting generally runs from mid spring to mid autumn. Takes place mainly on the weekends and min group size restrictions may apply. Min 6ppl for an exclusive raft. Smaller group sizes may be joined in a shared session with other people.

Weather

Suitable activity for most weather conditions other than strong winds or sever flooding.

What to wear

Wetsuits and protective gear, including life jackets, will be provided. Wear a costume, bringing a towel and a change of warm clothing is advised.

Duration

Sessions can be booked for either a morning or an afternoon session. These are roughly around 3 hours long. Full day white water rafting sessions can also be booked for the serious adrenaline junkie.

Spectators welcome at most locations. Some centres may have specific restrictions so please confirm on booking.
